Sara Ontaneda is an award-winning singer-songwriter, and producer based in New York City. Her music is a colorful blend of Pop, Electronic and Latin sounds with heart-felt lyrics in both Spanish and English. Sara discovered her passion for music at a young age. Throughout her childhood, splitting time between Guayaquil, Ecuador and Miami, she studied classical music. Her love for music led her to the prestigious Berklee College of Music where she majored in Contemporary Writing and Production.
In March 2017, Sara released her debut album, “Entre Espacios y Colores”. The album received great reviews in the US and Latin-America and opened many new doors for the artist. Sara toured internationally with notable performances in SXSW, the NAMM Show, Musikfest, LIFA Music Festival (Mexico City), Latindie, NJ Folk Fest, Millenium Music Conference, among others. In 2019 Sara won the award for “Best World Music” at the Richmond Film and Music Festival and the award for “Artist Revelation of the Year” at the Premios Unidad in NYC (Ecuadorian Music Awards). Sara continues to tour and release music internationally, playing music from the heart.
