Open House New York: Guided Tour of Little Island

Join staff members from Little Island’s Education and Community Relations team to learn all about the history of our park and our commitment to the local community. Our Director of Education & Community Relations Michael Wiggins and Manager of Education & Community Relations Rachel Lee will tell you about the pier’s connection to the Cunard-White Star Line and the LGBTQIA+ community along with how the plan to revive the old pier came to be. As you mosey around the park, you’ll learn about the years-long local partnerships Little Island has built with our neighbors at The Door, Westbesh Artist Housing, PS 33, Hudson Guild and Greenwich House, how those partners interact with our unique space and how Little Island has become a staple to the daily lives of the local community.
