Creative Break: Music and Storytelling with Greenwich House Music School and Center for Fiction
The Play Ground
On Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. join us in the park for a morning Storytime with our Creative Break partner The Center for Fiction. After the story, sing-a-long to music inspired by the themes featured in that day’s book with our Little Island Community Partner Greenwich House Music School. Readers and singers of all levels are welcome!
Visitors of all ages are encouraged to participate in Creative Breaks, free artmaking activities (dance, music, visual art, and more!) in the park every Wednesday through Saturday.
Greenwich House Music School (GHMS) was founded in 1905 in the settlement tradition to provide arts & cultural programs to help our community members lead more fulfilling lives. Today, the school continues to serve the musical and artistic needs of students of all ages with private lessons, group classes, ensembles and regular student and faculty recitals.
