Creative Break: The GIANT Room
The GIANT Room brings “Create Mode in Progress” – a creative meta-experience for kids – to Little Island this summer. Every Thursday, 11am to 12pm, throughout the month of July, families with children ages 3 to 12 years old are invited to join the GIANT team, get inspired by books that take them to 100 different places, come up with cool ideas to build, and then build them with arts and crafts materials provided to the community free of charge. The GIANT Room will also provide digital processing and editing of the submitted works to turn them into digital artifacts with interactions that you can experience at a final exhibition to be held at The GIANT Room in September.
The GIANT Room is a creative hub for kids providing STEM programs online via their membership based platform and in person at their makerspace in Chelsea, New York. Through GIANT programs, children learn how to come up with their own unique ideas, execute their ideas, and build them with 100 different tools and techniques!
