Perform in the Park is Little Island's open submissions program, where we seek local artists to help populate a diverse mix of programs, series, and experiences throughout our season that aim to entertain, surprise and delight, and spark the imaginations of our visitors. We invite performers, artists, buskers, merrymakers, entertainers, troupes, bands, and players of all disciplines to apply who:

  • Are age(s) 18+ (or are legally permitted to employ child performers)
  • Will be living or working in the Greater New York City area in Summer 2021
  • Work in a range of performing arts and entertainment disciplines, with an emphasis on presentations that ignite imagination and engage outdoor audiences

All artists contracted by Little Island will be offered paid opportunities. Other benefits include free tickets to select Little Island programs, as well as special opportunities to connect and network with Little Island’s community of artists.

As a public park open to all, we have a strong commitment to providing accessible experiences for visitors of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. To create an environment that is inclusive and welcoming, the majority of events in the park will be presented for free or at a low cost.
