Beats, Rhymes, and Tap Shoes

Dance impresario Maurice Chestnut returns to Little Island for a second season, this time with his brilliant tribute to the seminal rap group A Tribe Called Quest. Beats, Rhymes and Tap Shoes features a corps of exquisite dancers accompanied by a live band. They’ll take us on an innovative journey through the artistic history of this groundbreaking hip-hop group, while also touching on social and political messages in Tribe’s music that resonate strongly to this day.
